About the candidate
Marnie Boers was born and raised in Nanaimo and currently works as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She has extensive experience working within our community with organizations that provide shelter and support services. She is also master’s student in counselling and a mother of two. As a community health advocate living and working in Nanaimo, her campaign focuses on accessible healthcare, community safety, affordable housing, responsible taxes and building a sustainable community.
Priorities
From affordable housing to accessible transit, and responsive health and social services, Marnie will champion policies that make Nanaimo more just, inclusive, and livable for everyone.
